Bike frame at a garage sale? |
Would a decent bike frame sell at a normal garage sale? at all? Not likely. A good frame would be owned by a cyclist who would know the value of the frame. They would know that it's value would not be understood by people looking for $.50 to $5.00 items. They would sell where cyclist might be looking, Craigslist, Ebay etc. Your question is sort of like the finding a 63 mint Corvette in a granny's garage for $100 MYTH! But people win the lotto too so I'm sure it has happened before! what size/brand? 20"? 26"? mountainbike or cruiser? didnt give us much to go on, here Depends on what people are looking for,you can never be to sure. Are you buying or selling? Try Craigslist.com Anything is possible. Unlikely, but possible. One such possibility would be like a parent unaware of the value of a frame a student away at college left at home goes up for sale. Like I stated -- unlikely. I wouldn't think too many people would want to buy just a frame when you can buy a brand new complete bike for so cheap. Unless it's some really high-end frame that a serious rider would be interested in.... |
