How do you get you back end up, When doing a Bunny Hop? |
Ive seen videos on youtube, and know everything else, but they dont explain how you bring the back end up...can you explain FULL detail...Thanks. First off, the person above me is talking about a completely different trick. Second, my bunny hop style is kinda unorthodox and probably not the 'correct' way to do it, but it works To bunnyhop on a mountain bike, I pull up on the front (fairly hard, bend my knees, and shift my weight forward, and my handlebars slightly forward. All of these actions happen extremely close to each other, but the order is: 1. Pull up 2. Bend knees 3. weight/handlebars forward On my friend's BMX, i can just pull up hard on the front and bend my knees, and the bike will come up with me.. Hope this way works for you I don't know if this is exactly what you are talking about, but when my husband does what we call and end-o or stoppie on the 4-wheeler, you hit the front brakes fairly quickly, but you need to be very careful cause your butt will go clear on over if you stop too hard and going too fast! =O It took him quit some time to master this trick, and it still scares the poo out of me when I see it! Good luck and please be careful! If your using a bike with clip pedals then it's easy. Preload your pedals and bars and spring evenly. Preload means to push down then pull your bars and jump with your legs. With BMX or any bike with out clip pedals. You need to preload as well. I you transfer your weight forward and roll your handlebars forward with your grip as you jump with your legs. Your preload must be strong as well as the grip roll. This is easier with a light BMX then a heavier full size bike. Use clipless pedals to practice. When you pull up on the handlebars, jump with your legs and the rear end will follow. first bend your knees, pull up on the front, straighten your knees quick but not all the way, then bend them and try and tuck the bike up with you, once you get it it's really easy, it helps practising on a speed bump or something cuz it pops the back end up so you can get the feel. |
