How do u instert an additional water-bottle holder for your bicycle.? |
there are no pre-drilled holes-that i know of anyways. The link below is a unit that uses velcro to attach to the frame. I would suggest getting a camel back if you do a lot of riding long distances. You can also use just some sort of plastic zip tie to hold a frame on if you are on a really cheap budget. The second link attaches to the seat post. Amazon has quite a few different cages for water bottles so you might find something there that helps you. Source(s): http://www.excelsports.com/new.asp?page=... http://www.amazon.com/profile-design-aqu... Yeah, what the 1st guy said! Go to a bike shop. They have holders that fit on the back of the seat, on the handle bars, and on the seat or downtube. What they said. TwoFish, Minoura, Profile, and Topeak all make add-on bottle cages of one sort or another. Personally, I like the styles that mount behind the seat, but be sure you can fit your seat bag with it if you use one. Another option if you have a cheaper frame (which usually means thicker-wall tubing) is to have someone install Riv-Nut inserts as a permanent solution. The experiences with those are mixed, though. Basically it's like a pop rivet with internal threading so that you can mount a cage just as you would with factory brazed mounts. I've heard great things about them, and I've also heard that they have sometimes worked loose, or buzz a little while riding. You can't use them on quality or high-end bikes, though, because the tubing is to thin to be safe and reliable, even if they use spacers to account for the difference. |
