New Trek bikes, when??? |
Hi all, When do the new 2008 Trek-bike models come out? I鈥檓 interested in buying a hybrid 7300 bike, but would like to know the dif between 2007 and 2008! thks They are usually officially introduced on September 1, the day after Interbike which is the industry trade show. You can find early release '08 models but they tend to change a little as component specs and stuff arrive at the factory. The 7300 is made in China or Taiwan... that doesn't mean it's a bad bike, but it will be likely that you won't see an early release on it. Usually it's later in the year, toward October for the lower end bikes. In the lower end Treks, you're not gonna see much change that's worth either the wait, or the extra expense (getting an 08 vs an 07). A lot of the 2007's are on sale right now, in prep for the '08s, so now might be the time to start looking at prices. The '08 Trek Madone's are already out, at least, most of them, but those are full on road race bikes, not hybrids. Best thing is to find the website of your local dealer (providing they have one) and keep track of the prices of the '07s, and watch to see when info about the '08s starts to show up. Or better yet, call the dealer and ask; they'll be more than happy to tell you what they know. i just bought a trek yesterday and the 2008's are out. im not sure about your model, but the FX series is. |
