I'm 18 and weight 180lbs I really want to lose weight!!?

Will riding a bike and eating better help me achieve my ideal weight?

Better believe it. That's the only way through diet and exercise. Unless you want to have an unneeded surgery.
wel first u eat healthy things. second exercise. third dont pay any etention to those jeny craig stuff do it the healthy way
sure riding a bike and eating right will help you get in better shape.
but all exercise and proper nutrition will do that.
how tall are you?? im 18, 6'2", and 260 lbs and i am in great shape. age and wieght do not have a strong correlation.
I can think of nothing better. cycling is low impact, you can compensate for low fitness by using lighter gears to adjust your workout to where you are, and if you spin correctly, it will run your heartrate up as high as you want. when i began riding again after years off i weighed 270lbs. i am down to 225 and am shooting for 200, though i am a big guy by nature and am not sure at my current age i will get that low. my advice is to ride at least 3-4days a week for at least 20minutes. be sure to use light gears and spin (turn your legs fast but easy.) you shouldnt really have to push on the pedals. it is more like once you get it rolling your legs lightly turn in easy strokes.
Absolutely. Try to do least 30-40 minutes of cardio active every day for starters.Don't skip meals.Eat a balanced diet from every food group. If you have dificulties in this area,,try smaller portions and healthier options of what you eat now.It is possible, I have done it. Eating less and moving more are the true keys for losing weight. Don't be taken in by fad diets. Remember too, that losing weight is a relatively slow process. Done correctly you lose about 1.5-2.0 pounds a week. It is more likely to stay off, when it is lost correctly. You can do it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Life
No doubt it will. It-can-not-fail. Impossible.

I've been in shape my entire adult life and in the last year I cut out drinking and tweeked my diet. This in conjuction with the riding I normally do dropped 30+ pounds off my 6'2" body. I'm now around 165 and flying on the bike as I haven't in years!
