Is it possible to put 130mm travel forks on a koan scrap it came with 100mm travel forks?

I have a kona scrap and need new forks . I was thinking of getting 130mm forks insted of 100mm forks because the dj3 are just 2 small for the job i need them for >.<

No.. you will crack the head tube, plus make riding weird.

Frame warranty, by the way, will be void if you change the forks to a greater travel... if you do and the frame fails Kona WILL know what happened (they fail in a very predictable manner) and will not honor the warranty. Source(s): 27 years in the industry
You mean Kona Scrap. I think you would be pushing it . Get to some answers before attempting !
I wouldn't advice it. It would drastically change your head tube angle, screw up your bike's geometry, and put more stress on the head tube.
You'd be pushing the front of the bike up a fair bit with a longer travel fork, unless you can find one that has a similar overall height to the one you currently have - which isn't so likely.

You could look into an adjustable travel fork, and set it lower most of the time, and higher when you really need it.
