NJ quick release law is being passed. Are you going to call? |
Well, it is happening. The NJ legislature is pounding through a bill that will outlaw ALL quick releases on ALL bikes that don't have an automatic retention device that guarantees wheel security. This stems from some idiot with a Walmart bike getting hurt because they used a QR as a wingnut. More info at http://www.bicycleretailer.com/news/news... You bet I am, thanks for the flag. Nanny government thinks they're going to make people "safer" but they won't. Meanwhile, lose the benefits of QR. Pardon the pun but it's totally nuts. wow sounds stupid quick realese is very conveient and seems very safe idk y the r doing this no problem for track bikes. =] that sucks though, i bet it'll be overturned if it went through, think of all the peeps with QR already! what are they gonna do, force them to switch? they need to just outlaw WalMart from selling bikes. |
