What's the easiest way to get rust off a bicycle? Naval Jelly is especially made for removing rust. Search the web for it and you'll find where to buy it for about $5 a can. try wd-40 Turtle wax or WD-40. But a better and more effective way is paint strip your whole bike and go to your local hardware store or paint shop,I dont know what exactly its called but it heals the metal on the bike(effected areas with rust) spray it on let it dry and get ready for your paint job. Ask for the name Im sure someday that works there well know exactly what you mean Good luck I ride,have tryed this before the answers above me are the best way the esiest way to get rust of a bicycle is to first avoid it from happening always cover your bike if you leive it outside if its a bike that you dont care much for or found on the street go to the home depot or osh or what ever is near you that is industrial buy a small tank or a gallon of paint thiner put some on a rag place the rag were the rust is leave it ovr night or for 1 hour and whipe off with a dry rag dont wet the rag with water use a dry one and you sould strip the rust and paint of super easy wear eye and skin protection and if you breath that stuff too long your gonna get woozy ahahha good luck!!!! If it's a non painted surface, use Simoniz Chrome Cleaner. You should be able to find it at Pep Boys or AutoZone. Works like a charm. |
