I'd really like to get a new bike but I can't afford the Harley I want.? |
If I get a Japanese cruiser do I have to pretend to believe { Harleys Suck} to be accepted by other metric riders? Also, if I remove all the fasteners and re-thread them and replace them with U.S. bolts ,would it still be a {Metric} ? The bandwagon gets more riders all the time. I didn't expect it of you, hammer. You know the deal, ride what you want. Leave the fishing to others. Source(s): Live Free Or Die. Metric owners do not believe all harleys suck. Most harley owners feel the same about metric owners. The common thread NO matter the bike you ride is the fact that you RIDE and we are all brothers &sisters on that common ground. I started out on a Kawasaki 500 while working at a Harley Dealership. The people who gave me crap were the people who knew nothing about their bikes. Even the other mechanics said "at least you're riding. that's what matters". Metric guys who hate harley guys usually do because harley guys hate metric guys. It's just a circle of hate. buy what you can afford, be happy to ride it you do not have to pretend anything promote more riders getting along, cause they are on bikes, not what brand. I rode a Yamaha V-star 650 that I bought for $2000. It never broke down, was easy to ride and was fast (2 speeding tix.) Don't worry about what other people think, buy the bike that you are most comfortable on and have fun. Just ride bro. I dont dislike Harley's. I just dont want to pay an extra few thousand dollars for a bike thats just as good as a jap bike with a set of good exhaust. I ride a Honda Shadow Spirit 750, with Cobra pipes and I love the hell out of it. So do most of the guys who own a Harley that I ride with. |
