I just picked up a old cruiser from my grandmas garage and am going to restore it. What is the best way to clean the old oil and grease off. It has about 50 years of dust on it!!
If you want to take all the dust and oil off use Pedros Bike Lust and degreaser. Pedros is a good product and for the chain (if you dont buy another one) i would use Pedros Ice wax. It cleans and protects the chain from rust. But if it is really old i would go ahead and just change the chain. Restoring old bikes is awsome and fun! But get a cleaning kit from your local bike shop or look online for them. Have fun!
