Motorcycle Insurance??? |
Ok guys, trying to decide what bike to get next....one big issue is the insurance....from your experience, if you wouldnt mind, could you please share a rough estimate of what you pay for insurance, and please clarify whether its a sport bike or cruiser. i kinda just need an idea of how much more the sport bike will be. and of course i know my age, driving record, blah blah blah contribute. i just wanna see some real life numbers. i have progressive on my sportster. also used progressive with my 750 yammie, and it was a cruiser also. cruisers will tend to get better rates than crotch rockets. Twenty thousand. I have a cruiser. Check Progressive. You can get it over the phone. I pay around 255/yr. I had an accident and they sent someone over the next day to photograph the bike. He gave me a check for repairs on the spot. My insurance did not go up at all. Good Luck! Check Progressive Either Progressive or Dairyland insurance. My insurance for a cruiser....$198 year. Progressive did the best for me, cruiser bike. About $300/yr with road side assistance. You'r right- your age is the single biggest factor in determining your rates, followed closely by your driving record. A 34 year old with a good record can get full coverage on a sportbike for $33 a month. That's me. On the same bike, a 17-year old with a couple speeding tickets could be looking at $400 per month. |
