What does the 2 finger signal mean that motorcycle riders give to each other while riding?

I've just started riding a motorcycle and I have noticed that other riders wave 2 fingers at me when we meet. It is mainly the sport bike riders. The cruisers just wave.

It means to keep two wheels down (keep the shiny side up).
Hello, fellow rider.
Just a wave. If everyone in cars felt the same way the world would be a better place.
Whether its two fingers of just a wave, they're basically acknowledging a fellow rider.

Some sportbike riders may not wave to cruiser rider and vice versa, but its a good practice to be consistent and wave at all riders. That's what I do. We're all two wheeled buddies. <thumbs up>

Ride Safe!
In the old days it ment two riders behind me. Or Peace Bro !
I like the last one!
it is a signal that you are recognized as one of "us".
it means "peace bro"
I think the other answers are right but just FYI if someone gives you the peace sign sideways keep and eye out for the law. That's a way to signal others to slow down there's radar ahead.
