Old vs new?

new bikes leave me cold.the new bike styles of sport bikes almost look identical/ or cruisers that are so weak a riding mower could leave them for dead .who would like a street legal xr750 or full on late70s early 80s superbike.

Suzuki alone fields the GSXR model family, the Hayabusa, maybe four SV models (V-twin standards and sporty standards), the Bandit models (standards), V-Stroms in two engine sizes, and probably some other models I've failed to mention. None of these can be considered cruisers and I'd say they all don't fit in your "look-alike sportbike" category.
One of my favorite bikes is the Honda XL250 from the late 70s. It will possibly be my next bike.
I loved my XJ900 Yamaha. rode it to death unfortunately. unreal bike but it had 60,000miles on it when I got it. the engine and gearbox had been rebuilt but it was constantly finding excuses to not go riding.one day it would leak oil, the next no leak but no start.on & on & on.... when new it would have been the best thing on the road. Local POLICE used them too.
i agree with you on the sport bike side but the cruzers not haveing enough power....no.....i ride an 2006 harley 1200 sporster custom it has kept its original looks from 57 with modern day torque this thing boast 79HP from about 77ci and an under 12s 1/4 mile stock change the pipes carb air filter and ignition and this brings you closer to the 10s which is plenty enough for any street bike
