For beginning riders which is better, honda rebel or ninja 250; why? |
or in general are cruisers better than sport bikes for beginners For the first part of your question, neither the Honda Rebel or the Ninja 250 are really "better". They are different style bikes and an opinion of "better" would rest with each individual rider depending on their tastes. The Ninja is faster and can easily handle freeway riding, but it isn't well-suited to larger riders. The Rebel is not as well suited to freeway riding, but is a wonderful "around town" bike. For the second part of your question.."cruisers or sportbikes for beginners?"... Generally sportbikes are snappy on the throttle, which makes for easy spills for a beginner. Many sportbikes also have a lot of expensive plastic which nearly always breaks even with the slightest lay down. Cruisers on the other hand are usually a heavier bike which makes manoeuvering by hand sometimes difficult. It comes down to what type of riding you will be wanting to do. If you are going to make long trips, a cruiser will be much more comfortable than a sportbike. But if you like speed and manoeuverablility, then you probably will lean toward a sportbike. It really depends on you. Both are good bikes to begin on. But the Ninja will be quite a bit quicker. The Rebel is more laid back. The Ninja will steer quicker because of the rake, where as the Rebel will steer slower. There are just too many variables. One other thing...What kind of riding will you do? The best solution is too just try easch one and see which suits you and your riding style. It Depends on your style, I've been riding 15 years & I started out with a Ninja 250, Believe it or not now i can't stop riding one, I just bought a new one last year & i still love it. They are pretty quick & very nimble to manouver, not to mention very good on gas. I'm getting about 65mpg & riding about 50 miles a day. |
