You can use a cruiser bike for your commute, but you need to be prepared for everything else.

If you will be traveling on a busy street, be aware of cars and other bicyclists.

Bring a decent lock, and park it on a bike rack next to a better looking bike.

Ideally, a road bike or mountain bike would be much more practical for a average commuter, but a cruiser bike works as well.

Good luck. Bring a water bottle too. Just in case.
