Honda 919?

I am 17 years old right now I own a 1984 Honda Ascot VT500ft that I repaired, and got running on my own. The problem is I am 6'2 185lbs and the bike will just barely haul me around...

I am looking to upgrade after getting a year more of riding time and experience on this bike. My dad owns an 1100Vstar and wants me to get a cruiser but isn't against me getting something a little bit faster.

I have fallen in love with the Honda 919, I love it! But is it a wise decision? I am not a crazy stupid kid who is going to be doing wheelies at 140mph and none of my friends ride like that so I am not going to fall into any peer pressure from them. But i know it is still a fast dangerous bike.

Is the 919 a good bike?
Am I going to kill myself with it?
Is it to fast?

I test rode one of them a couple of months ago. Awesome power, best brakes I've experienced on any bike. This thing is stoopid fast so if you decide to get one please respect it. All in all I liked it allot and wouldn't mind having one myself even though I am a cruiser kind of guy.

Personally if you like the 599 just as well go for it instead. You don't need a liter bike to haul 185 pounds. Even if you are careful that kind of power can get away from you quickly. The difference in power between your Ascot, which is a very cool bike by the way, and the 599 4 cylinder will be substantial.

Ive riding the ascot and it plenty fast, you just need a tune-up
