I would like to start manufacturing motorcycles, but I dont know how.?

Hi, I want to start a motorcycle manufacturing unit, manufacturing motorcycles in the range of 250-600cc. I would like to produce an average of 2000 motorcycles per day in two assembly lines. One for sports bikes, one for cruisers. My problem is, I don't know much about how motorcycles are actually manufactured, how much would the plant cost, etc. I would appreciate any help you could offer in this regard. Even a point in the right direction would be lovely.
Thanks!

Ok... Let me add more details... firstly to start I would need a loan... a very big one... For that I need a rock solid business plan... and for that I need rock solid information... Now I didnt put up this question to take pi** from people, so please post only constructive answers. Thanks.

As for your question Uh Huh, I intend to have a maximum capacity of 2000 motorcycles a day, which does not mean I will make that many from day one. And as far as the parts are concerned, I plan to source them from other companies, only assembling, painting the bikes and doing some customizations on site. Thus I forego the need for expensive press machines etc...

As far as the market is concerned, I intend India to be my first target, followed by export to other Asian countries. as there is no current player in this sector. Bajaj is launching the Kawasaki Ninja 250, but not too soon. So I feel I have enough of a market to play with.

This question is so stupid you had to ask it twice !

It would save a lot of problems if you buy a company that's already making them. Maybe Honda or Suzuki. They are already well known too!

knowing how is not important. You must have money or the means to get it. Like marry the bankers daughter and then borrow all the money from the bank.
then you can hire and buy everything you need to get it done.

Is this not a few days late this question?

Im sure Aprils Fools days was on the 1st.

Save your money. The market is flooded . There are so many brands and models and sizes that an investment of several BILLION dollars would be necessary to capture a market share. There are many better ways to invest than motorcycle manufacturing.

being as u have 5 or 10 million dollars minimum. hire a factory manager and motorcycle expert from monster.com or other employment co.
