Girl wants motorcycle?

5'5" tall and about 130 lbs. I am a small girl so I would like to know what brand of motorcycle to get. I want a rocket not a cruiser, something made for a girl to ride. I tried to get on an R6 and I am too short to feel comfortable riding it. What do you suggest? Also, where can I find hot pink graphics to go on my new bike?

Thank you for checking out the question and for your solutions. I am grateful and appreciate it.

Hi,
I would suggest to go for a suzuki motorcycle. They're fairly cheap and lightweight. I would probably go for the SV600/650, the GSF600/650 bandit or the GS500 as these do seem to be more comfortable for lady riders and lighter. If it is a super sport bike your are looking for, as a female rider myself, I would recommend you to have a go on the GSXR600 as the seat height is lower and they are much lighter than the R6.

But just a small note. Although I have said Suzuki and other have recommended a particular bike it doesn't mean that these will be perfect for you. Have a go/sit on as many bikes as you can until you can find one that fits you well and that you feel comfortable with. Ask questions to the dealer/seller about the bike and don't let them think that just because you are a lady biker doesn't mean that you will be riped off - I know I have that problem!

Hope this helps

Try an SV-650, Ninja250R or Ninja500r. They should all be shorter. Either that or find a bike you like and look for lowering links for it.

If you have never rode watch this video below the one that says "What new riders should buy and know"

i personally would suggest the Kawasaki Ninja 250. it has just enough power and looks sporty. It gets phenomenal gas mileage which is huge in the world today.

Some bikes can be lowered. My husband is lowering his Suzuki Vstrom for me since I'm I'm only 5'4. Usually I ride a Rebel 450, but it can;t keep up with him on the highway.

You don't know how to check the internet or how to go to a dealership and ask there? And to ask bike shops there for graphics? You are NOT the first person to ask this question here, and sadly, will not be the last. You all should be shot for not knowing how to search or ask.

For one thing, just cause you're 5'5", that doesn't mean that you have the same inseam length as me. I'm 5'5"-ish (slightly taller, but not quite 5'6"), and I can fit on a sportbike okay, while I have a friend who is 5'6" who cannot keep it upright.

Try actually going to the dealership and asking for help sitting on the bikes. Find one that feels comfortable. Learn how to search and do things on your own.

If girl really wants motorcycle, then girl should go learn how to get one.

Don't get any thing smaller than a 600. You will out grow the 250 and you will wish you went with the 600 from the start.
