Does anyone know where I can get a used 70's beach cruiser bike frame? In the bay area and maybe a junk yard?

Try Craig's List, Salvation Army and yard sales. These would be ideal places to look for that type of thing. Always keep an eye out on gargabe day.

In the 70s, beach cruisers weren't called beach cruisers. They were called middleweights. This included virtually any bike that had 26" tires wider than 1 1/2".

Schwinn, Murray, and Huffy made a zillion of these and are readily available at any garage sale in an older neighborhood. A VERY good place to look is at Goodwill and Salvation Army stores.
