Do you Grotch Rocket Guys?

Do you younger guy/gals on speed bikes think us cruiser guys all look the same like the way we think you all look the same .

yep

Not quite, I think a guy on Jap cruiser is smarter than the guy who wasted thousands of dollars on a harley to get an inferior bike. Also I think of the guys without helmets as organ donors.

I'm 46 and ride a R1, I usually get odd looks when I take my full face helmet off. It's different when I'm riding my st1300.

I tend not to look at fellow bikers as anything other than that - bikers. I don't give a damn what anyone rides or looks like and at 43 I am worldly wise enough to know that all sorts of people ride bikes. My main bikes are two Ducatis but I own classics, moto cross, commuters and an old US spec style Triumph Bonneville that was my first bike and I will never sell. It could be classed as a cruiser compared to the Ducatis for sure.

I think that the term Crotch Rocket is intended by many who use it as derogatory and I really don't like it but then again there are many sport bike riders who slate cruiser riders. I find both sides quite strange as there is enough discrimination against bikers in general without building fences between us ourselves.

Do you really think all sports bike riders look the same? If you do though does it matter? I would just say ride safe my friend and if you were ever in my part of the world on your bike and were in need of help then I would stop to give it, regardless of what you were riding.

I dont think you all look the same. I dont think crotch rocket guys all look the same either and I am one. My dad is a harley guy. I am a crotch rocket guy. Some of my friends are cruiser guys. It varies. To classify anyone based on what they are riding is simply a stereotype. I've known old men, young men all riding cruisers, and the same for harleys and crotch rockets. A 60 year old was interested in buying my bike. He likes them for his bad back.

I also know some of the nicest people who ride crotch rockets and harleys, and some of the biggest jerks that ride both as well. The big difference to me is whether a person is an eliteist or not..... whether they think what they ride means something and classifies them differently from anyone else.... sometimes even people who simply think they are better than anyone else who rides something different. They can think what they want. They are in the minority in my book. It's rare that I dont get a wave from a biker regardless of what he is riding. I did get the 'loser' sign from one guy on a big cruiser once.. I laughed to myself and gave him a wave anyway.

I didn't know they made anything but cruisers. When did they start doing that? What will they think of next?

I'm a 47 year old Grotch rocket guy. Well also a BMW guy and off road guy. I don't think anyone on any bike looks the same. But I do think about 1/2 the guys riding Harleys look like posers who just learned to ride spent their next ten years disposable income buying out the Harley superstore, and all the ones with trailers look like they should be driving a Winnabego. And 1/2 the teenyboppers on Grotch rockets look like they barely have the basics. 1/2 the guys on scooters look gay, not that there is necessarily anything wrong with that. Anyone with a half helmet (a motorcycle hat) looks dumber than someone with no helmet. All chicks on scooters look cute, like there is some kind of law 'no fat chicks on scooters'.

I don't think 35 would be considered young from your perspective, would it? But to answer your question, yes, you all look just as slow as the SUV you're next to as we go past.
