Motorcycle For Tall Chubby Guy?

I am 6'7" tall, size 16 shoe, 320lbs, and 44 waist....yes I know big and tall...

I'm dying to get a motorcycle (first ever but my dad always had one growing up that I got to ride/drive)...which model is best for us tall+big guys? I REALLY do not want a goldwing...looking for a cruiser, and I really like the Marauder 800 cruiser...would that work?

I just dont wanna look like this huge thing on this tiny bike.

Oh and my budget is $1500 or less (definately used for first one)

Look for an v65 honda magna, there are many around and for your price range you could find one that runs good, probaly a little rough around the edges but real driveable. They are 1100 cc, stupid fast and handle better than most crusiers. They are big nice looking bikes. They were made between 1983 and 1986. Because they are such nice bikes and desireable they are many found on e-bay

I say that you go to a dealer & act like your in the market for a new bike & have the salesman tell you what's good for your size then thank him or her excuse yourself and you'll know what to look for in the used market...hey they may have a used one just for you...good luck

A big Guy needs a big bike .I would be looking for anything over 1500cc /

Harley Davidson Fat Boy.

you really need a full size cruiser, but in your price range that will be hard to find. A Marauder is a 3/4 size bike, so is the Kawasaki Vulcan 800, but you should sit on one to see if you are comfortable.

I am 6'3 275lb (37" sleeve, 34" inseam), and I fit OK on my buddies 800 Vulcan. The power was not really an issue, any cruiser over 600cc's would move you ok, its not a racebike.

sit on a bunch of bikes in your price range and find what fits best. You can always change out the controls if you need to.

Bandit 600S

Honda VTX 1800 handles like a freaking Sportster ...... that is an excellent bike ........ the Goldwing gavew me a neck and head ache and handled horribly .... but the VTX is just a freaking dream bike .......

Try a Suzuki Boulevard 90 on for size. I think you may like it. It's got the overall size that you need to stretch out on and a 90 cubic inch (1500 cc) engine.

If this thing doesn't make you feel like a little kid on a tricycle, I don't know what will.

(Everyone else seemed to ignore the budget you mentioned so I just joined the crowd.)

Seriously, don't get a bike under 1,000cc's. With your size (I'm not too far behind ya) you need something that will balance you and give confidence...try a mid 90's Suzuki Intruder 1400...I saw one in Phoenix the other day for $1,800 seemed like a good deal.

When your budget grows, good luck with the radial!!!!!

Check out the Hyosung (Yo-sung) GV650 Cruiser. Hyosung used to make parts for Suzuki and for the last 7 years have been making their own bikes. Just sit on one and see how it feels.

Good luck!

first your bouget is about $1.500 so let me sugest an older bike with not to much electronics the bike will be more reliable im 6 foot 250 lbs and i love my kz 1000 you can also try an kawasaki old police bike look on e-bay for a pic of one good bike .
