What dose your brand of motorcycle represent to you? |
I just kind of thought of this and got a little curious on how others define their preferred type of motorcycle. Like if you were going to get a dirt bike what brand would you get and why? What brand would you get if it were a cruiser and why? what kind for a sport bike and why? what comes to mind when you think of each brand name? What is you favorite bike and why? I just think this would be interesting to see exactly how different people define and group the different brand's and associate them with type's. I hope we can get allot of answer's lol for some reason I don鈥檛 get allot of reply鈥檚 probably because I ask the question very late. I cant wait to read all the reply鈥檚. : ) Ya I thought about that but I didn鈥檛 want to waste points. : ) You don鈥檛 have to answer all the questions. You can just answer the ones you want to. I'll do one for my self as well. BMW- efficient & utilitarian The question(s) you are asking are not ones that are easy to answer. I'll try to answer your question. Right now I have a brand new Yamaha R6. One of the main reasons I bought it was because I love the way it looks. I love the lines, the color, and the aggressive stance. Even before I learned how to ride a motorcycle, I always wanted a Yamaha because I love they way they look. They are just plain sexy! $10 says the guy above me is a squid. I like my Yamaha because it is quick, quiet and fun. I like my HD FXR cuz it's a Harley. For me it has to be KAWASAKI,I own a ZX6-R(1wk and 108miles old). The roar from the air box and the intake sounds like it would suck your shirt in.I've loved KAWASAKI's from i was a kid.I also have two NC30's and a GILERA GFR125.To me KAWASAKI represent no nonsense pure sports bikes that are beautiful to look at and ride.No gimmicky rider aids, only the ingredients for hard riding, and the colour green, mine is orange though. My brand of bike I currenlty ride is a Harley Davidson ..... The name Honda brings to mind reliability and variety. Over the years they have made all styles of bikes. After 45 years of riding I am comfortable with a cruiser now. And my current cruiser isn't one of the top 4 Japanese bikes or a European, Russian or Chinese bike. It's not a Harley either. No, I went with a Korean bike this time. Why? Because it was affordable, felt good to sit on and is quality built. It's not a beef eater but it eats up a lot of road when I get the hankering to go somewhere. It's a Hyosung (yo-sung) GV250 Aquila. In a couple of years (2009) I'm going to trade up to a GV650 Cruiser. well let me start buy i give all motorcycles a chance all years and types. for old vintage i like the 1972-75 kawasaki 750 triple or h2 750 ,second vintage the kz 1000 that i own as of now .newer i love the can am spider and suzuki m109 crusier i never owned a harley but i like the feel of the fat boy and the feel of the buell but not my fav.dirt bikes i like for vintage bulatco 250 pursang newer the suzuki dr 400 sm and cr500 two stroke. dont let me forget the 2 bikes i would love to have would be an rg 500 suzuki or rz 500 ,tz 750 Kawasaki = dirt bike / Unique street (Vulcan Drifter!) and sport bikes / To me they are mean green machines rats rule!!!! Favorites? There are too many to pick just one! I'm going with a '65 panhead for sentimental reasons. |
