Big Mo chopper bike - 10 years old? |
My 10 years old son is not very good at riding bikes yet. We found a nice Big Mo Chopper bike for a great price. Is this a hard bike for a beginner to ride? The that chopper bike is like most with an extended front fork than yes it is harder to ride than a standard bike. Turning is far harder because of the very long wheel base and fork rake. Those bikes aren't made for general riding they require a huge turning radius and can be dangerous riding in the street or around other obstacles because of this. Basically, they handle very poorly. Make sure he wears a helmet and knee and elbow pads. They are much more apt to fall over. It should be ok. Depends on your son's skills. I'd make sure he wears a helmet though. I'm WAY past 10, and I never ride without a helmet. If he cant ride very well then this is NOT the bike for him ! |
