Does anyone know any honest independent reviews of an American Ironhorse Lone Star Chopper Motorcycle? |
I have never ridden a hard tail chopper and the only person I have talked to about the ride is the salesman, who of course says it rides like a dream, not too rough. I am looking for any honest reviews of this bike. I used to be a salesman for American Ironhorse of Houston, and I have to tell you, motorcycles and how they "ride" is a matter of preference and personal opinion. You say that you've never ridden a hard-tail, right? It doesn't take much sense to figure this one out though. There is NO rear suspension. All of that horsepower coming off that 124 cu. in. motor is going to translate straight from the powertrain to the ground, via your ***. A hard-tail chopper will be a smooth ride only on smooth pavement. And thats the only time. It will be a very, very rough ride over rough pavement. Thats all I have to say about that. I will add this however: Since you're probably buying this bike for the sole purpose of bar-hopping, who cares what it rides like? You're never going to be on it for long enough to even find out what the true thrill of motorcycling is all about. If you're planning on taking some long distance rides, you're looking at completely the wrong type of bike. Also I hope you enjoy riding solo, because I can't think of many chicks that dig enduring that kind of pain. Just my two cents. Good luck mate. Source(s): I have rode every model of motorcycle Ironhorse has ever produced. |
