Manufacturers statement of origin titling for a bike m.s.o.? |
okay i just bought a 1998 hardtail chopper custom for a great deal but hit has its reasons there is no title only an mso for the frame and the numbers match not stolen etc no problem there, but the problem is the mso is registered to chris in michigan, the frame was sold to john in arizona where i live who built the bike and now i bought the bike from john but he never got his name notarized and signed on the mso the mso still had chris' handwritten name and info and notary on it.. my question is we cannot get in touch with chris in mi and john is moving out of state as well what can i do to get this awesome bike registered. thanks Wow, that's a real cluster. Chris in michigan should have gotten a title in his name, you can't sell a motor vehicle on an MSO unless you are the dealer. and you can't transfer from one owner to another on a MSO. I would try calling the Harley dealer listed on the MSO and see if they can help you out. Source(s): work in a dealership notary public |
