gs850? yes I know sale the bike and by something else, but I like the bike. I want the give this bike more of a custom chopper look. I thought about cutting the rear springs off to lower the rear, an old school chopper seat one piece with the big back rest and large custom ***** bar, and some custom pipes that curve out of both sides. Any pics or suggestions would help.
Find an old ridgid frame get an extended front end make yourself a complete rolling chassis and put da motor in and you got yourself a chopper.
If it's the "L" model it already has sort of a chopper style to it and you can probably dig up some retro bolt on accessories on ebay. You would be better off finding something like an old Virago project since there are a ton of used/aftermarket parts out there for them. In it's day the GS was a great bike, but it handles like a safe on casters compared to the Virago. The frame on the GS doesn't lend itself to mods very well, especially in the seat area.
