Baddest Harley Motor Based on..? |
I'm lookin for a good harley motor for a custom bike i'm building. Its not exactly a west coast chopper but its pretty crazy none the less. Anyways i need to find a good harley motor to convert to Alcohol and maybe Turbo it if at all possible. I'm looking to build it up to roughly 200-350 hp. Alcohol is a must and i can handle converting it all over but i just need a good block and tranny combo. Maybe a 4-5 speed manny tranny and maybe a carburated one unless you guys think an Fi'ed harley would do way better anyways if you can give me a model ID Number or a Year and Model i can find the motor in. I really don't know much about bikes but i know a lot about cars so i'm just trying to connect the dots and build something truely revolutionary Look into T.P. Total performance They are a tough powerful motor out of the crate. Another is Enginuity (I believe that is the correct spelling) They have a really badass motor 150" try that bad boy on alcohol I wanted to add Patric Racing,the build a very tight big ". Pricey.but nice.Any of the above motors, with a cam and a little head work would be alcohol and race ready. No REVTECH no,no,no O.K. for a bar hopper but not to RUN. Source(s): I've built a few fast and fancies. Harleys are for guys with small schlongs. The best HD motor would be the V-Rod Motor, you can convert it. I would use the new 6 speed transmission. the V-Rod does not really have the harley rumble you are looking for...I recommend a twin cam 88 - and there are several available. They used to be standard 5 speeds, but now H-D has a 6 speed too... i don't really have an answer to your question, just a comment to the first 2 answers...why are there always some ball-less little @ssholes that want to run down us harley riders? my guess is that they can't afford one. i wonder why every rice grinder company out there is building an imitation for low income people and welfare receipiants it's okay if you can't afford a harley but why do they have to make themselves look so stupid...good luck on your ride bro. i've got 2 hawgs in the garage...i wouldn't ride a bike if it had to be a rice grinder,,,HARLEY RULES!!! |
