Remote for my motorcycle?

I have a remote for my motorcycle it is use to turn on and off the lights. I took the battery out and now it does not work (I used it just a few min's before takeing the battery out and it worked fine) and yes I put the battery back in. There is a red light on the remote it self and that turns on and off when ever I use it. But the lights on my bike do not. The Batteries are find they are brand new.

My question is, is there some type of code or something someone needs to put into the remote that can make it work again?

Like how do dealerships do it? All the remotes are the same at one point then they must do something so it will only work on you're Car, truck or Bike.

Make of Bike: HD
Lights: aftermarket
brand and model number: N/A
Who installed it: Orange County Choppers (the same guys that did the jets bike (Football teem and there other bikes)
Is there a seperate fuse: Yes
Do the bike's lights work without the remote: The only way to turn on or off the lights is with the remote

My garage door opener has a "rolling code" mechanism that prevents anyone else's remote from opening my garage. Using a new remote (a little keyring-sized thing) required pushing the "program" button on the opener itself until an LED blinks a certain way, then clicking the remote. The receiver then responds by blinking a different way. Taking the battery out of the remote probably does the same thing since the code is likely reset. You may have a similar situation where the remote and the receiver on your bike are just out of sync.

You should be interested in locating the owner's manual of the remote/receiver, don't worry about what OCC did with it. It could be that there's a procedure for resetting the sync between the remote and the receiver, only way to find out is to get some kind of manual for it and walk through it.
dunno ask my dad he knows everything bout bikes.
The best thing to do would be to check with OCC who installed it!
I would say when you took off the battery the wires that were hooked to the light s was not hooked back up when you instaalled the battery. look around for a wir e you might have missed . a r ight
