Kikker 5150 Hardknock for a beginner ?? |
I have been looking at the Kikker 5150 Hardknock mini choppers for quite a while and I am in love with the style. However, I am definitely an amateur when it comes to anything on 2 wheels. I have never driven a motorcycle and rarely ever rode a bike when I was younger. Is it a bad idea for me to get one of these? Part of me says its stupid and part of me says that life is short and I should go for it. What do you think? On a side note, does anyone know of the legality of these in Indiana? Thanks. Take a MSF course to learn how to ride. Then for the cost of the Chinease bike, that won't hold up, you can buy a good used motorcyle to build your riding skills. If you still want a chopper or bobber, you can build one from a used motorcycle, possibly the one you learn to ride with. Source(s): http://www.msf-usa.org/ http://www.650motorcycles.com/ Let me tell you..I *ALMOST* bought one!! I did not for two reasons.. First, it Did NOT come with a manufacturers Certificate of Origin (MCO), AND it did not have a 17 digin VIN. so I could not Reg it! the second reason, is that it looked Truly flimsy!!!! Cheap components(especially the forks), but a nicely welded frame. The shift by left hand, they converted the Honda 110 (chinese copy) engine to hand shift, luckily that model uses an automatic clutch, but you still have to remove your hand to shift. I loved the look too, but you can make anything look that good, that already has been on the street.. http://ratbike.org/a_custom.php... I built two bike/scooters too http://www.ratbike.org/docs/568.php... |
