Does anybody know the bike part for a bmx bike that will enable you to peddle backwards? I think you're talking about a fixed gear. It has no coasting, so if you pedal either direction, that's where the bike goes. But if you're talking about those BMX stunts where the guy rides backwards, he's not using a fixed gear. He's just rolling backwards, and the pedals are turning as it rolls. Scott u can't..at least on a bmx bike.. GUTS! if what you are referring to is doing a fakey like when you land a 180 and roll backwards the reason that you have to pedal backwards is that the gear engages and will stop you from rolling backward if you don't pedal backward. if you are talking about the gear that lets you roll backward without pedaling that is called a free-coaster. if you mean riding fakie then you dont peddle you just let your feet go with the peddles and balance |
