BMX biking? |
Love biking, been doing it for a while now. What is a great little company that is probably the easiest to get sponsored by? These days everyone seems to go out on their own to try to make a new company. To make a list of companies to try to get sponsored by I'd look at Ride or another BMX magazine, or do online searches. The goal of sponsoring someone is have somebody promote your product. So I would ride in places or events that get recognition, and do well. Get some pictures in magazines, get into videos or on TV, win or place well in races/competitions. Things that would get YOU noticed, and therefore get the company that is sponsoring you noticed so lots of little kids who want to ride just like you can go out and buy that company's product. If you want a sponsor really badly, maybe try a company that isn't mainline BMX, but could sell to a BMX crowd, like a sunglass company, or a t-shirt company. They might not have as many people knocking on their door for a BMX sponsorship, so maybe they will be more open minded to trying someone out. Also, try the "I'll buy your stuff, tell people about it to promote the item, and if I do well maybe someday you will reward me with free stuff" route. Also, bike shops are a good way to go. it depends on where you live, and how good you are, but try your local bike shop. |
