If I am 16 and I am going to buy my first bike, do I have a chance to make it in the big bmx world eventiually Look mate. A 16 year old can accomplish just about anything they want if they set there mind to it and give it time. I Know of a girl (lived not far from me) who went from a novice to riding in the Tour Feminin (female version of the tour de france) in three years. Hopefully this will inspire you to get out there and go for it. hey same here, It just takes lots of practice and getting down of stuff start with the basic and work on up no - i can tell by your attitude Practice! My friend's bro is 17 and trying to go pro for MTB. Practice is the best thing you can do. Set up a course somewhere where you can--it works. I'm in the same circumstances as you...for the most part. And I just want to tell you this, my brother started when he was 14 years old. He practiced every day for 3 years. I mean he practiced and practiced. In just that short amount of time he is no riding for a local company and is doing well. Statistically - it takes at least 8 hours plus a week to improve at any level of cycling. So, there is your commitment! Bike Shop Manager |
