Whats better on a bmx bikes,v brakes or u brakes???

I have no idea what a U brake is; Do you mean calipers?

If so, then on a MTB, you would be best served by a set of V brakes (better still disc).

EDIT: BMX ,you would be better off with no brakes but ride fixed wheel.

the brakes you are referring to are "BMX caliper brakes"

they are the industry norm
