How do they make Bmx bikes handlebars spin all the way arond, but still have handbrakes? it is called a gyro, it goes right under the neck if the handlebars. it is really a sealed bearing that turns when pulled. think of a baring with posts on the out side and the inside if u grab all of the posts then u can spin the baring all the way around will just put break cables on the post and their u go. a Gyro. Source(s): lol my bike. and i instal them they dont i think dont they put the wires thru the frame They have an arrangement of rotating plates which transmit the pull of the brake cables to the mechanism while allowing the bars to rotate GYRO I think that's spelled right but I use to have one when I had a bike (too old now) |
