whats the tool used to take out and put pegs in bmx 20 inch bikes? i wanna buy just that Lolz What unclean said. Depending on what pegs you have, some have a hole through them. If this is the case (and the pegs were installed properly), you need to remove the axle nut with the socket and extension, then put a rod or screwdriver through the hole and twist the peg loose. When installing pegs, never just screw them onto the axle... remove the axle nut, install the peg, then reinstall the nut through the peg. If you don't do this you'll be treated to a bent or broken axle. This goes for threaded pegs as well. Source(s): 26 years in the industry usually you need a ratchet with a long socket, like the kind you use for sparkplugs... just remember to measure the width of the nut so you know what size... any auto parts store will sell what you need. |
