Who makes Richey bike parts in patricular richey 1" threadless headset.?

will it work on bmx racing bike and what is its weight.

Tom Ritchey was a Mountain Bike manufacturing Pioneer.
Ritchey originally made high dollar handmade Steel Frames,
and complete bikes.
Like Specialized, Ritchey was an early manufacture of Mountain bikes, and no one manufactured parts for mountain bikes in the 1980's, so these companies actualy began making many of their own parts for their mountain bikes.
Through time, I'm sure they had parts made by other companies, then branded them Ritchey. I'm not sure If Tom has sold out, or if he still owns ritchey.
I do know that they are no longer in the Frame, and Complete bike buisness. They are, however huge in the parts buisness now. I have some early 90's Ritchey WCS (world championship series) pedals I still use. Back in the day there was Ritchey Logic parts (inexpensive, but good) and there were wcs (premium)
Anyway yeah, you can use a threadless mtb headset on a bmx, if you have a threadless stem (neck in BMX language) to go with it. Fork too, of course.

Actually I looked at the link on the first answer to this question, and found that Tom Ritchey Does still own the Company!!! I also saw that he has taken an interest in Road bikes, and is even making a couple of road frames, though I saw no mountain bike frames. Ritchey make it. And a whole heap of other gear.

It could fit on your bmx if the frame is designed to take a 1" headset. You will need to get measurements for both to see if they are compatible. Could be worth a trip to the bike shop.
