I want to start learning to BMX(its been on and off with me) and I'm 13 and wanted to know if Magna's are good bikes to BMX with. I either want a Fusion or an Invader and when I get better will upgrade to Hoffman's WTP's or United etc. But just want to know if Magna's are good for beginners?
Magnas aren't good at all. You would do better buying a used Felt, Redline- to name a couple. Make sue that if you by a new bike, you get it from a bike shop. My 12 year old son had a Magna which his grandma bought for him at a department store (Target). It was total junk. She spent around $100 on it and I put about $200 in repairs for that piece of junk the first year he had it. I've heard similar stories from a few other people that own Magna bikes. Pay more and go to a bike shop. They know what they are selling and you can even walk out with a few free accessories or upgrades when you buy from them. Also, if you have a problem, they'll take care of it right away. You're 13 and you shouldn't have to worry about if your bike is going to break down. Avoid the Magnas!!! not really
