Is it ok to use a walmart bike to start bmx racing |
?? or like kmart or some other cheap place Its not the bike my friend, its the rider. As long as the bike can pass inspection. I raced BMX years ago, and I had to saw off part of the axle bolts because they stuck out too far. Department store bikes are meant for casual riding over short distances. I remember reading an article in a mountain biking magazine where they took a Walmart MTB aka the Magna and let a professional rider put the bike through it paces. The thing didn't last 20 minutes. Most disturbing failure was the seat cracked in half. Finally the back wheel collapsed. In your place I'd look around for a good used one. never mind the dirty pom,walmart bikes will work well and give you a good workout because they are a little weighty. i think no no no and no try getting a bmx like reef boss there only 拢89!!!! |

Hey, I ride lot's of bmx, and i went trought lot's of rim's... i love any odyssey or Alianation rim's. personaly, i have Alianation 440 rim in the front and a odyssey h... What do you plan on doing on it? If you just want to cycle on the road, I would suggest you get one which most looks fast/is light, if you want to get one to go off road get one which looks like a ... there is bmx racing now but not bmx competiion like u see on x games and dew tour ...trust me just get a new brake system its ver complicated to do what you saying and if your talking about pedal brakes they are kinda useless ever though they dont really brake just go to a bike sto... Any BMX bike is going to be heavy because they are built to withstand punishment beyond the normal ride around the block. You should just work out and build muscle until you can bunnyhop/camelhop y... DK bikes are a very good, well known brand of bike. It all depends on what model and type you have and weather you like it. it also depends on weather you ride dirt (sand, gravel, dirt, off-road) ... i think purple would look better than orange. or maybe brown. idk maybe u can get some nice stickers on there too ... |
