Is my bmx bike too heavy? |
I just bought my bmx bike and it is 30lbs. I am 5'10'' about 160lbs. Is my bike too heavy or just right? I know its all about personal preference but I just want some reference from other people's experiences. Everyone's preference should be a bike that is light as possible. Weight=bad. im 14 and ive got a Mongoose Mischief 2008, its 32lbs and to me its way too heavy. But soon im getting a Sunday Wave Frame 07, there are light. I'm 6'0" 202lbs. My "guest bike" is 31lbs, and I consider it WAY too heavy. 30 pounds isn't bad for a BMX. my bike is 29Lbs which is quite heavy i think. im about the same as you 5'10" and about 160Lbs the problem with bmx's is they need to be strong and nothing does strong like a nice thick bit of tubing so bewarned if you buy lighter bits you may be compremising on strength. |
