How do you take grips off and on on a BMX bike? |
i am a BMX rider and i have to take off my broken front brake and so i need to get the grips off of the handle bars and then put them back on. use wd-40 or some soapy water in a squirt bottle and work em off. To put them back on just rinse and dry them off and spray some hairspray in them and slide em back on. works like a charm. A little WD40 will get those off also and help with slipping them back on, but don't over do it. WD40 or some dish soap put inside it will slip it out and in. I don't recommend using WD40 for putting it back on because it never dries and the grips are always slipping. Soak the grips in a bucket of hot water then pull them off while twisting slightly. |
