is the giant modern g a good freestyle bmx bike for a begginer like me? it looks ok, however Giant haven't really established themselves as a BMX manufacturer. I would personally look for a GT, Mongoose, Stolen, Fit etc... can pick up these at a reasonable price and are great to learn on. Giant doesn't have the presence of some of the other brands, but if it's good enough for Corey Bohan it's good enough for you. (It wouldn't surprise me any if Giant makes the frames for several BMX brands.) GT and Mongoose were bought out in 2000 by junk bike manufacturer Pacific Cycles. Their quality has since suffered. You can get GREAT BMX bikes @ your local race track. I know you gut a NEW BMX bike rite @ River Valley BMX @ the best price you can find any where.
