Best time to take a bike trip around England/Scotland?

I am in the process of planning a 1 month long bike tour of England and Scotland next summer. Given a window of March-early August, when is the best 1 month stretch of time to do this? I will be mainly camping at night, so this is primarily dependent on the weather. I am essentially doing a "loop" around the entire island. Any other route suggestions or tips would be welcome!

June or July as the days are at their longest then & it'll probably be a bit warmer as well for camping purposes.
