Things to do in Paris, France?

Hi!

Me and a few friends are heading to Paris on a tour in about two weeks, and we have one free day to explore the city. Any ideas? The Louvre for us is a must, and we're seeing Notre Dame, the Moulin Roughe, The Lafayette Gallery, the Pantheon as well as other Parisian sites that I can't think of now. :)

Also, any recomendations for restauraunts?
And what about Paris' bike-rental system. Is that worth it?

Thanks!!

Velolib for renting bikes are pretty cool.
I would definitely pay visit to the 19th arrondissement.
For fun, why not Asterix and Obelix park?
The tech Villette is also pretty interesting.
For food...just stroll, see the menus and let yourself be seduced by the charm of the moment...:) It works best:)

I would just stroll and look. Enjoy Paris, get a cafe, read a paper, look at buildings, just enjoy the fact that you're in Paris.

Prepare you cash, dude!

Everything is very expensive in there, owing to heavy taxes on everything in France and to the rate of change.

Also, be prepared to deal with stressed, impolite and arrogant folks.

Well, you'll see by yourself...

Don't forget Giverny (near Paris) where Monet painted.
.

lol just so you now with only one day wow lol The Louvre itself needs more than a day.

Anyway you absolutely HAVE to see Sacre Coeur. (well, the view from it anyway lol)

Do visit.. Chateau de Versailles.. It is beautiful palace on outskirts of Paris.. You can take RER-C (train ) from Paris ( Consult train map)... It is a place not to be missed at any cost..You need atleast half a day

If you have time you can also try Euro Disney on RER-A..It is a full day excursion !!

I can not believe you haven't planned to go to the "Palace of Versailles", and its famous parks: you know, the spectacular royal residence(the "Hall of Mirrors") built by the Sun King, Louis XIV?

It has supposed to have been completely restored, and is over 300 years old. You absolutely must go there.

I'm green with envy; wish I could afford to go with you.
Enjoy,

Alberich
