Random stuff left behind in houses? |
I just went on my first house tour and was amazed by the random stuff I found left behind. One house had a chicken figure with feathers glued on it. One garage had 3 lawn mowers, 2 printers, 5 tv's, 3 bikes, and much more... I once sold a house in the UK that had been repossessed and had been left with a tap running for at least a fortnight. Having had rental units for most of my adult life, I am constantly amazed at what tenants leave behind. If I know their forwarding address or phone, I call to see whether the items were inadvertently forgotten, but most of the time the resident does not want them returned. I've found crystal, china, silver, toys, clothing, furniture, bank statements, photographs, TVs and other electronics, food, personal items that were unidentifiable to me and the saddest one was a pet, cat. My current home came with lots of 鈥渂onuses,鈥?but the grossest were a rusty razor in the scary basement shower and an overflowing trashcan in that bathroom. Ew!!! I had no idea what I was going to find in there. I鈥檝e been in that house 5 months and I鈥檓 still not 100% cool with that room. put it all on ebay.make a profit. There was a car in our back yard when we bought our house.... but we couldn't keep it.... They said it would cost more to do a title search, etc., than the car was worth... lol. |
