I have Tank Touring 2007. I love my bike. I did not know one get so much use out it. You say you ride 15,000 miles a year and after 26, 000 miles the belt broke. What to repairs or adjustments? I don't know about the 2007s. Mine is 04 and I have 48,000 miles on it. My advice is---Order a new belt from the company that you bought the bike from. Then around 20,000 miles go to a scooter dealer that has a repair shop and pay them to install it. With proper tools it is only a 20 minute repair.. Because the time mine broke I was out in the middle of no where and no tools. It cost me a road service and hauling to a repair shop. That will never happen to me again. I bought the proper repair tools and a shop manual. Which I highly recommend.
There no adjustments to the drive belt. There is an oil chamber where the belt goes on the back of the drive shaft that need to be serviced from time to time with 90 weight gear oil though. Don鈥檛 neglect this as if it goes dry then you will have to replace the whole drive train.
You didn鈥檛 tell me if it was a 150 or 250cc. If you follow the maintenance book that came with the scooter you should get several thousand miles of trouble free riding. Another very important service to perform is keep the air cleaner clean.
Happy trails.
