Can you do the Maui crater bike tour as a novice? Would this be considered safe. Youngest rider is 14.?

The rides are set up so that there is vehicle behind the riders and novices should have no problems with the ride as it pretty much all downhill. I saw all ages from teens to retired folk on these rides. A 14 year old should have no trouble.
