What is the best bike to buy? i have a $1000 budget. dont need a "tour de france" bike. how about puma/biomega |
i was thinking of buying a "urban mobility" puma bike. made by biomega. is that a smart buy or should i go with a more conventional type. i will ride this as a method to get back in shape. Get thee to your local bike shop and look around... check out Trek, KHS, Giant, and Specialized. All of these companies have different bikes in your price range and are good quality. Source(s): http://www.specialized.com Go to bikesdirect.com. You can find aluminum frames with carbon fiber seat stays and fork, 30 speed shimano ultegra less than $1000. Try www.trekbikes.com. They have a few models under $1000 in both road and hybrid style. They have a dealer locator feature where you can find a dealer in your area. I own 4 Raleigh bikes, they are very good bikes. Go their website www.raleighusa.com and see all that they have to offer. It's a good website it also list the prices of their bikes and the nearest dealers to where you live. with that budget, i would get a nice trek road bike. i was planning on getting the trek 1000 over the summer. its only $650 (for the '05 model) but if you want to spend a little more then you can look at the other end of the trek lineup. www.trekbikes.com |
