Seeking a full suspenson 18" mt. bike with high end componentry US2k--3k. Any suggestion or recommendations? |
Just need a damn good mt. bike for mostly touring but will compete. Cannondale Rush 2000 or 1000! You will love it, Trust me! CC Source(s): http://groups.yahoo.com/group/bicyclingh... you want a mtn bike for touring? ie carrying around food and shelter? thats foolish. if you want a mtn bike for mtn riding and occasional racing, thats smart... anyway, there are maybe 10 different companies who make good dual suspension mtn bikes within your price range. the giant trance is a four inch travel bike that climbs like it has 2 inches and decends like it has 5... light enough, low center of gravity, with a three way adjustable rear shock... the trance 2 is within your budget, easy. slightly heavier but much more durable would be the kona king kikapu, which goes to all lengths to be a durable 4 inch travel do everything bike. not as bling as a cannondale, but much more durable. specialized should also not be discounted, thier stumpjumper fsr design has been around as long as kona's design, and climbs and decends well... pro mechanic for 10 years, owner of a kona kikapu, a giant trance 1, 3 specialized mtn bikes, 2 bridgestones, 2 bianchi reparto course hardtails.., a whitcomb, a vicious cycles monolith, an amp research b3, two on-one singlespeeds... Check out a KHS, Kona, or Specialized... http://www.specialized.com Santa Cruz blur 4x with full sram drivetrain & a fox 36rc2. |
