Where is a nice place to tour on my bike in UK (2 to 3 days )?
A lot depends on what type of riding, scenery, accommodation you prefer etc.At this time of year, or any time for that matter, weather conditions can make a huge difference. If you want a quiet touring area with light traffic conditions and good road surfaces, the West of Scotland has a lot going for it, but I'm a little biased! On a nice sunny day, it takes a lot of beating but if your camping, then beware of the midgies as they can be fearsome! Along the shore of Loch Lomond, up through Glencoe,up to Fort William and on up towards Ullapool you will find beautiful scenery and the further you go the traffic thins out and you can enjoy peace and quiet on well surfaced roads. Wherever you go,good weather makes all the difference. |
