Guided motorcycle tours of Europe? |
I have been playing with the idea of using my annual leave to set up motorcycle tours, primarily on Harley Davidsons through portions of Europe. My idea would be to set up a route, hotels and bikes for english speakers. They would fly in and I would pick them up at the airport act as their tour guide and translator. Everything would be a package price except the plane tickets, fuel, food and beverages. How would one go about setting up and advertising this. Would you be interested? I am an American who has lived in Germany for over 20 years. I have also ridden my Harley around Europe on my time off for the last 10 years. I've had good times rolling off motor vessels & barges both on European canal systems and Hudson Bay, Canada. On those long road trips with groups you miss the lack of choices, pack rides wear, and overnight stop quality has extreems. Use of a floating base allows for more outing choices, you can travel while asleep, with a constant service level for customers. Turkish flag carriers are probably the worst. Churchhill, Hudson Bay, has polar bears that will try to eat you. A simple internet website called Tours of Europe on a Harley Davidson. Many tours similar already exist in England, Scotland, Wales, Spain, Italy, etc. Check out what the competition is doing first to find out what you have to offer that they don't. Guided bike tours are like French air kisses. Wienies should stick to cars. |
